Argentina, guest country The Colombian Film Festival

The Colombian film festival’s mission is to provide Latin American artist the opportunity to show their work to an international level. It is an honor for the Colombian film festival to bring in our second version Argentina as our guest.
Argentina is a country that has influenced in an incredible way the Latin American film and audiovisual industry. A country that has been recognized for its way to create stories and bring them beyond the boundaries of its country. Colombia has made many alliances with Argentina, and produced over five films with this country.
The festival is going to present three Argentine films at the Tribeca cinema, two from the official selection and one from the box office.
The first film from the official selection is Mistime by Barbara Sarasola -Day, which will be presented on March 27th and 28th. This film tells the story of Joaquin, who after being discharged from rehab, decides to visit her cousin Helena and her husband Ernesto, who live in a house in the north of Argentina. The presence of Joaquín brings certain problems in the relationship because a love triangle begins to take place.
Eight shots by Bruno Hernandez is the second film in the official selection, which will be presented on March 29th and 30th March. Eight shots tells the story of John who tries to change his past by seeking revenge. John travels in his truck called eight shots, facing situations of extreme violence, drugs and robberies.
Finally, the film Heart of lion by Marcos Carnevale, one of our box office films, will be presented on March 28th and 30th. This movie is about Ivana Cornejo and León Godoy. Ivana lost her cell phone and Leon found it. During the conversation they decide to meet and Ivana feels that he is the perfect man but he is 1.36 meters, a prejudice that Ivana has to overcome.

Argentina país invitado en la segunda versión del festival
El festival de cine Colombiano en Nueva York tiene como misión dar al artista latinoamericano la oportunidad de llevar su trabajo a un nivel más internacional. En la segunda versión del festival, tenemos el honor de traer a Argentina como país invitado.
Argentina es un país que ha influenciado la industria cinematográfica y audiovisual latinoamericana, de una manera increíble. Un país que se ha caracterizado por contar historias únicas y llevadas a nivel mundial. Colombia ha realizado muchas alianzas con Argentina, y producido más de cinco películas junto a este país.
Durante la semana del festival, se presentaran tres películas Argentinas en el Tribeca cinema, dos de la selección oficial y la más taquillera.
La primera película de la selección oficial es Deshora de Bárbara Sarasola-Day, que se presentara el 27 y 28 de Marzo. Esta película cuanta la historia de Joaquín, que luego de haber salido de rehabilitación, decide ir a visitar a su prima Helena y su esposo Ernesto, quienes viven en una casa al norte de Argentina. La presencia de Joaquín trae ciertos problemas en la relación al empezar a crecer una historia amorosa entre él y su prima.
Ocho tiros de Bruno Hernández, es la segunda película Argentina de la selección oficial, y se presentara el 29 y 30 de Marzo. Ocho tiros cuenta la historia de Juan quien trata cambiar su pasado vengándose de su hermano Vicente y reivindicándose de lo que le hizo daño. Juan viaja en su camioneta llamada 8 tiros, con la que pasa por situaciones de mucha violencia, drogas y robos.
Por último, la película Corazón de león de Marcos Carnevale, una de nuestras películas más taquilleras, se presentara el 28 y 30 de Marzo. Trata sobre la historia de Ivana Cornejo y León Godoy. Ivana pierde su celular y León lo encuentra y quiere devolvérselo. Durante la conversación nace una química única entre los dos, pero cuando se conocen Ivana se da cuenta que León mide 1.36 metros, un prejuicio que Ivana no quiere que afecte su relación.
